Modular Non Emissive Power Systems

There is a strong emerging market for the cost-effective production of CO2 to support hydrocarbon recovery of various types, and in the slightly longer term for the cost-effective production of CO2 to support geothermal energy harvesting in Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS).  At the same time, there is an ever-increasing desire for emissions-free energy, including CO2 sequestration.

Semi-Closed Cycle Piston Engine

The Semi-Closed Cycle can be adapted to spark ignition rich burn, lean burn, or diesel / dual fuel engines.

Generally, a rich burn spark ignition engine or engines at 1200 to 1800 rpm would be used up to about 2 MW Gross Power, delivering up to 0.5 Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day of CO(about 30 tons per day).

Medium speed, typically 720 or 900 rpm, lean burn or dual fuel engines can be deployed to 10 MW or more per engine, or more commonly, multiple engines are used.  A 5 MW Gross system would typically deliver 1.2 MMSCF CO2 / day or about 70 tons per day.

The ratio of CO2 production to power production can be varied to meet individual requirements.

Semi-Closed Cycle Turbine Engine

The Semi-Closed Cycle Turbine extends the EEG range to about 25 MW per unit.  CO2 production rates to 20 MMSCF / day or more are possible, with net power in excess of 50 MW.

Conventional Power and Heat Recovery Systems

EEG has established relationships with US and International Piston and Turbine Engine companies and can assist is power system selection and design for conventional as well as semi-closed cycle power applications.

EEG is also a representative for Cain Industries Waste Heat Recovery Systems.
